General Election 2010

The following was originally posted on the 23rd of March 2010 to the LGBT Croydon Ning group (lgbtcroydon.ning.com) which closed down in August 2010.

The General Election will be upon us soon. It could be a close-run thing, so the votes of LGBT people could be more critical than ever. Could we please ask you all to e-mail or write to the various prospective candidates for your own constituency, to ask what they propose to do for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. CAGS, in conjunction with CHE, has drawn up a list of questions you might like to put to candidates - see www.c-h-e.org.uk/election2010.htm for details. Note: if you’re not sure which constituency you live in, go to http://findyourmp.parliament.uk and type in your postcode.
